Arsene Gunning For Karim Benzema

June 28th, 2009

Ok so i woke up this morning to a media frenzy regarding Arsenal potentially spending in excess of £30m part funded by Adebayor Fleeing to Milan.

I know its at an early stage but should this transfer happen there would be some major hurdles to overcome first namely the Departure of Adebayor ( currently Milans 3rd choice signing ) Galliani has admitted he is fond of Ade in the past.

Secondly there is the hugh interest from Man Utd this could prove difficult specially since they now have a £80mill Piggy bank, but they are said to be equally interested in Franck Ribery and Sergio Augero.

Well i for one will hold judgement and wait and see but in the mean time join me in crossing everything possible.

Ade-Bye-Or

June 27th, 2009

So it looks like Arsenal’s Lanky togolese striker, Adebayor could finally be on his way A.C Milan president Galliani said: “We are only looking for a striker and the objective is Dzeko. If we don’t succeed, Fabiano could be an alternative, as could Emmanuel Adebayor eventually. “I had a chat with (Arsenal manager) Arsene Wenger, but they have not offered him. In the case that he comes up for sale we will speak again.” Of Dzeko, Galliani said: “He is a Wolfsburg player. If they call me to speak about him I’ll spring up (in surprise). “Keeping him is their right, but he has expressed and continues to express his desire to come to Milan. “From experience I can say that it is difficult to deal with a player against his will.”

Basically Adebayor  is their third choice but hopefully Adebayor, who quite obviously doesn’t want to be an Arsenal player anymore, will be sold and a replacement bought in before the start of the pre-season, one story starting to gather momentum at the moment is that Marouane Chamakh will be adebayor’s replacement although Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud is hoping that he will sign a new contract with the club ”I have not spoken with any player about a move. Players need to respect their contracts. “We want Marouane to sign a new contract with us, he knows that. We want to build a great team here, not sell our best players. “Chamakh has not received any offer or enquiry by a big or small Premier League club. The only enquiry has come from a Swiss club.”

Oh well hopefully next week will bring us another signing although i’m pleased with the early signing of Vermaelen i would like all our transfer business to be done before the pre-season so that we don’t get a repeat of last season’s shambolic transfer window.

Fabregas And Spain Shocked By USA In Confederations Cup

June 24th, 2009

Cesc Fabregas

Cesc Fabregas played his last game for Spain in the Confederations Cup in South Africa.

USA shocked the world with their defensive and attacking play. It was plainly unbelievable how shaky was Spain’s defense tonight and conceded their first goal in this game.

Spain came close to scoring on many occasions but failed to do as Tim Howard did prove to be a rock in goal and stopped all of Spain’s attacks.

Cesc Fabregas played an average game and so did most of Spain’s players. With such performances we can only believe that over confidence was the cause of this for Spain after breaking world record for most consecutive wins.

Probably we’ll see Brazil vs USA in the finals.

Stay tuned as we’ll be watching Melo, Arsenal’s transfer target and report to you tomorrow on his performances and how well is he on the big stage.
