Adebayor Leaves, Rosicky Returns

Manchester City completed the signing of Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor last night on a five-year contract he told the City website:

“It made me feel really welcome and special and I can’t wait to play for City’s fans and show them what I can do,”

“I was born to play football and that is what I want to do. I have come here to make history for this club and those supporters. It what the chairman and the manager told me that they want too and I can’t wait to get started.”

So far there are no parting words about or for Arsenal, it hasn’t even been anounced on Arsenal.com as i write this, which is strange.

Anyway news that actually matters…Thomas Rosicky returned to the Arsenal first team for the first time in over 19 months, he didn’t score but looked lively and also went in for a few challenges which is great to see and he came through the match unscathed without any little niggles. The match finished 2-2 with Arsenal twice going ahead thanks to goals from Arshavin and for the third season in a row Nacer Barazite.

Back tommorow hopefully with some news about a defensive midfielder.
