So it looks like Arsenal’s Lanky togolese striker, Adebayor could finally be on his way A.C Milan president Galliani said: “We are only looking for a striker and the objective is Dzeko. If we don’t succeed, Fabiano could be an alternative, as could Emmanuel Adebayor eventually. “I had a chat with (Arsenal manager) Arsene Wenger, but they have not offered him. In the case that he comes up for sale we will speak again.” Of Dzeko, Galliani said: “He is a Wolfsburg player. If they call me to speak about him I’ll spring up (in surprise). “Keeping him is their right, but he has expressed and continues to express his desire to come to Milan. “From experience I can say that it is difficult to deal with a player against his will.”
Basically Adebayor is their third choice but hopefully Adebayor, who quite obviously doesn’t want to be an Arsenal player anymore, will be sold and a replacement bought in before the start of the pre-season, one story starting to gather momentum at the moment is that Marouane Chamakh will be adebayor’s replacement although Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud is hoping that he will sign a new contract with the club ”I have not spoken with any player about a move. Players need to respect their contracts. “We want Marouane to sign a new contract with us, he knows that. We want to build a great team here, not sell our best players. “Chamakh has not received any offer or enquiry by a big or small Premier League club. The only enquiry has come from a Swiss club.”
Oh well hopefully next week will bring us another signing although i’m pleased with the early signing of Vermaelen i would like all our transfer business to be done before the pre-season so that we don’t get a repeat of last season’s shambolic transfer window.
